Better late than never, right?
Another Halloween has come and gone, and we're just starting to come down from the four-day sugar high that seems to have taken over our household this past weekend. Will and Owen, our little Transformers, were simply bouncing off the walls in the hours before trick-or-treating. When I got home from work on Halloween evening, they were already in their costumes, plastic pumpkin buckets in hand. After a very brief dinner (why would you want to fill up on anything balanced or healthy when you have a chocolate oasis waiting behind the doors of neighbors and strangers alike?), the boys worked the streets on Nonna and Bumpa's block and in our neighborhood. Sonja received dog treats at nearly every door, and one house was even giving out beer to the parents. Happy Halloween, indeed!

I feel like such an underachiever in the pumpkin-carving category.
